Law & Associates, has taught statistical concepts and techniques for more than 35 years, both in 17 years of university teaching and in presenting more than 570 short courses in 20 countries. He is the developer of ExpertFit, which has been the world’s leading distribution-fitting software since 1983. Dr. Law is the author of the book Simulation Modeling and Analysis (6th edition, McGraw-Hill, 2024) with more than 172,000 copies sold and 26,500 citations. He is also the author or coauthor of numerous journal articles on simulation, statistics, operations research, and manufacturing.

He has been a consultant to numerous organizations including Accenture, Boeing, Booz Allen & Hamilton, Caterpillar, ConocoPhillips, Defense Modeling and Simulation Office, Federal Express, Ford, Hewlett-Packard, International Paper, ITT, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, M&M/Mars, Monsanto, NIST, Oak Ridge National Lab, SAIC, Sandia National Labs, 3M, Tropicana, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, and Xerox.

He has been a tenured faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Arizona. He has a Ph.D. in operations research from the University of California at Berkeley.
